Square of the Republic in Ljubljana in a modern section of
the city. It is where Slovenia declared its independence in 1991.
The twin office towers were designed by a protege of Joze Plecnik.
Across the street from Square of the Republic is
the Slovenian Parliament.
University of Ljubljana. The city is full of university students.

At Ljubljana Castle after taking the funicular up. The first fortress here was
Roman. Today's castle was rebuilt in the 1940s. The main reason to come up
here is to see the views of Ljubljana and surrounding area.
