GALAPAGOS ISLANDS, ECUADOR - APRIL 2007
Part Nine
Blue-footed booby parent and baby
There were lots of interesting birds, mammals, reptiles, and fish to see, but I think I liked the blue-footed
boobies and the sea lions the best, because of their personalities and appearance. The green sea turtles
and the giant land turtoises, that are sort of the symbol of Galapagos, were also special. Here is a family of
blue-footed boobies. Perhaps the baby is the only one of 2 to 3 babies that hatched that has survived thus far.

Getting on the panga (dinghy) for the last time on the trip for the ride back to the boat and cruise to Baltra
Island where we flew out of the Galapagos. On the islands, we did both dry and wet landings, though
no wet landing involved sliding into water higher than our knees.
